Active Optical Fiber HDMI Cable 40M – 8K 48Gbps

Description

IMISON Active Optical Fiber HDMI Cable 40M – 8K 48Gbps

The IMISON Active Optical Fiber HDMI Cable 40M is designed for long-distance digital video and audio connections where a conventional short HDMI cable cannot provide the required reach. Using Active Optical Cable (AOC) technology, the cable combines HDMI connectivity with fiber optic transmission for extended audiovisual installations.

With a substantial 40-metre cable length, it is suitable for connecting compatible HDMI source equipment to televisions, projectors, monitors and other displays positioned across larger rooms or installation areas. The product supports 4K and 8K video, up to 48Gbps stated bandwidth, HDR and RGB 4:4:4 when used with compatible equipment.

Active Optical Fiber HDMI Technology

An Active Optical HDMI cable uses active electronics together with optical transmission to carry high-speed audiovisual signals over an extended cable run. This makes AOC technology particularly useful where HDMI equipment needs to be connected across distances that are impractical for typical short HDMI cables.

The 40M IMISON Fiber HDMI Cable is therefore suited to larger audiovisual installations where source equipment may be positioned well away from the receiving display.

4K and 8K Video Support

The cable is specified to support 4K and 8K video with compatible equipment. It can therefore be considered for high-resolution HDMI installations involving compatible televisions, projectors, monitors and other digital displays.

The actual resolution, refresh rate and available video features depend on the capabilities of the source device, receiving display, content and configured HDMI signal. A specific 4K or 8K refresh rate should not be assumed unless supported by the complete connected system.

Up to 48Gbps Stated Bandwidth

The IMISON Active Optical Cable has a stated transmission bandwidth of up to 48Gbps. This provides high-speed transmission capability for supported digital video and audio formats when connected to compatible HDMI equipment.

Available performance depends on the complete HDMI system, including the source equipment, receiving display and configured video and audio formats.

HDR Support

The cable supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) with compatible equipment. To use HDR, the source device, display and content must also support the required HDR functionality.

RGB 4:4:4 Support

The product specifies RGB 4:4:4 support. This can be relevant for compatible computer, professional display and audiovisual applications where full colour information is required. Available colour formats remain dependent on the connected equipment and selected video configuration.

Directional Source-to-Display Connection

The IMISON 40M Active Optical HDMI Cable is directional. The two HDMI connectors have designated Source and Display ends and must be connected in the correct direction.

• Source: connect to the HDMI output of the transmitting device, such as a computer, media player, decoder or compatible gaming system.
• Display: connect to the HDMI input of the television, monitor, projector or other receiving display.

Check the Source and Display markings before routing the cable. This is especially important when the 40-metre cable is being installed through ceilings, conduits, trunking or other concealed installation routes.

40 Metre HDMI Cable for Extended Installations

The 40-metre length provides substantial reach for audiovisual installations where equipment cannot be positioned close together. It can be used to connect compatible source equipment and displays across conference rooms, classrooms, offices, presentation areas and other larger spaces.

Typical applications include:

• Conference and meeting rooms
• Projector installations
• Classrooms and training facilities
• Office presentation systems
• Home entertainment installations
• Digital signage and display installations
• Large-room audiovisual systems
• Other compatible professional HDMI installations

Compatible HDMI Equipment

The IMISON Active Optical Fiber HDMI Cable 40M can be used between compatible HDMI-equipped source and display devices, including:

• 4K and 8K televisions
• Projectors
• Computer monitors
• Desktop computers with HDMI output
• Laptops with HDMI output
• Gaming consoles
• Media players
• TV decoders and set-top boxes
• Compatible AV equipment

Installation Guidance

Before installing the cable, identify the Source and Display connectors. Connect the Source end to the transmitting HDMI device and the Display end to the receiving television, monitor or projector.

Take additional care when routing a long active optical cable. Avoid crushing the cable, excessive pulling, sharp bends or tight routing that may physically stress the fiber optic construction. For concealed installations, test the complete HDMI connection before permanently closing the installation route.

Before Ordering

Confirm that 40 metres is appropriate for the required installation route and that both devices use compatible HDMI connections. For 4K, 8K, HDR or RGB 4:4:4 operation, the source equipment, receiving display and content must support the required configuration.

Where a particular resolution, refresh rate or HDMI feature is essential to your installation, confirm compatibility with the specific source and display equipment before ordering rather than assuming support from the cable specification alone.
