Description
Baofeng BF-888S UHF Walkie Talkie 2-Way Radio – 2 Piece Pair
The Baofeng BF-888S Walkie Talkie is a compact rechargeable UHF two-way radio designed for straightforward team communication in security, construction, hospitality, events, warehouses, shops and other compatible applications.
This package contains two BF-888S radios, allowing two users to communicate when their radios are configured to compatible channels and settings.
16-Channel UHF Two-Way Radio
The BF-888S provides 16 programmable memory channels and operates in the UHF radio range.
Baofeng documentation lists the BF-888S family within the 400–470MHz UHF range, although the exact permitted/programmed frequencies should be confirmed for the units and local radio regulations before use.
Communication Range
The BF-888S is commonly marketed with communication distances of several kilometres. Some Kenyan listings advertise approximately 3–5km, while Baofeng’s current product information gives approximately 2–4km depending on actual conditions.
Actual range is not fixed. Buildings, walls, hills, vegetation, radio interference, antenna position and surrounding terrain can substantially reduce communication distance compared with an unobstructed outdoor environment.
1500mAh Rechargeable Battery
Each BF-888S is equipped with a 1500mAh 3.7V Li-ion rechargeable battery. Baofeng specifies approximately 8 hours of battery life under its stated usage conditions.
The supplied desktop charging bases provide a convenient location for recharging the radios between shifts or uses.
VOX Hands-Free Operation
The built-in VOX function supports voice-activated transmission when correctly configured, allowing compatible hands-free applications without repeatedly pressing the push-to-talk button.
CTCSS & DCS
The BF-888S supports 50 CTCSS and 105 DCS/CDCSS settings, providing additional channel configuration options when coordinating multiple radios.
